ShortBread Cookies Recipe(EGGLESS)

Shortbread cookies is another superrrr hit of my baking version.. because this recipe turned perfect on first time... It is always my special thing.. Iam very eager to post this recipe, JINJU & my hubby enjoyyyyed it..

Usually my kid hates to have cookies, but he helped me while preparing & loved the cookies too... It is kid-friendly recipe, they can enjoy in cutting out the shapes like that.. Moreover it is very easy & simple recipe too...

Preparation time- 8mins       Making time- 25mins       Baking time-20mins

INGREDIENTS:

Maida/ All purpose flour- 1 cup
Unsalted butter- 1/2cup(100gms) (AT ROOM TEMP)
Powdered sugar- 1/4 cup
Vanilla Essence- 1/2tsp
Milk- 6-8tsp
Salt- pinch

METHOD:

  • In a mixing bowl, add flour & salt..mix well.. keep it aside..
  • In a another bowl, beat vanilla essence, butter & sugar well until you get creamy texture(using whisk or hand mixer)...
  • Now add in the flour mixture & combine to form a soft dough.. (it doesn't come together, so add few tsp of milk or water to make a fine dough)
  • Roll out the dough & wrap it with a plastic cover & CHILL it for atleast 1 hour... so that it can bake well)
  • Then slightly dust flour on the surface or place it on plastic wrap like I did, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness....
  • Cut using your favourite shaped cookie cutter... here I used star shape & some other shapes for my kiddo...
  • Collect the remaining dough & repeat the process until u finish the entire dough...
  • Now preheat oven at 180 deg C for 10mins...
  • Meanwhile line up the shaped cookies on a butter paper is already placed on a baking tray... CHILL it for 10mins...
  • Then place the tray on the oven, bake the cookies at the same temperature for 15-20mins, until the edges turning golden brown...
  • Once it is completely baked well & take out from the oven & allowed to cool down..(cookies may soft, once it is cooled down it becomes crispy)

  • Yummmmmmy O Yummmmmmy..... !!!!!!!

NOTE- Refrigerating the dough is more important, it gives more crispy texture...
