I am verrrry happy because i finally made NAAN at home.....very delicious with simple ingredients....
Ingredients:
All purpose flour/Maida- 1cup
Lukewarm water- 1/2 CUP
Ghee- 2tsp
Oil- 2tsp
Sugar- 1tsp
Salt-to taste
Yogurt- 3tsp
Baking soda- pinch
Dry yeast- 1tsp
Method:
- First, add yeast in 1/2 cup of water & dissolve it...
- Meanwhile take a bowl, add 1 cup of flour, salt, sugar, ghee, yogurt, baking soda & yeast water & make a fine dough....
- Cover dough with towel/lid, wait for 3hours....dough becomes doubled...
- Now preheat oven to 400 degrees.... divide dough into small balls...
- Roll out on floured surfaces into big crcles.....place the rolled dough into baking tray or stone & cook for about 8mins until it turns lightly browned....flip & turn to cook on other side....
- Take the naan out & brush with melted butter.....
