FALOODA recipe

How many of you like Falooda??

Falooda is yummy & delicious dessert...it can be served after food... Tasty & simple recipe... Very healthy for kids & all....It is cold & containing many ingredients like jelly pieces, rose syrup with vermecelli, sabja seeds, nuts.. topping with vanilla flavored icecream... 


It is most popular in South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Srilanka etc... It is delicious summer drink...Its kid- friendly recipe, try this & surprise ur kids....

INGREDIENTS:

Whole milk- 2cups
Rose essence- 1 tsp
Sabja/ Basil seeds- 2tsp
Vermicelli- 1handfull
Sugar- 3tsp
Elachi powder- pinch
Raisins/ Pista- 10( coarsely powdered)
Jelly mix- 3tsp
Vanilla icecream- 2 scoop 

METHOD: 

  • First heat water in a pan & add jelly mix...bring to boil for about 5-8mins.... Allowed to cool down, and transfer into ice tray/ Mould... Refrigerate for about 2hrs.....
  • Next soak the sajba seeds into water for about 30mins.... It becomes double in size...
  • Boil the vermicelli in water & keep it aside...
  • Meanwhile boil the milk.....once it is completely cooled , add rose essence/ syrup...sabja seeds into it...
  • Then add sugar, chopped nuts/ raisins( your choice) & mix well... Refrigerate the mixture for about 1hour....

FOR SERVING:

  • First ready with your ingredients, jelly cubes, chilled milk, vermicelli & sabja seeds....vanilla ice cream & tall. glass...
  • Take a tall glass, add jelly cubes(here i have used strawberry jelly), then add vermicelli & sabja seeds into it....
  • Now pour the chilled milk upto 3/4th of the glass....
  • Scoop the vanilla ice cream & finally add to the glass.....decorate with nuts/ color balls.....
  • Yummmmmy FALOODA is ready to serve.... 

NOTE: You can also chopped nuts, finely chopped fruits  for richness of the taste......

ROSEMILK popsicle/ Rose kuchi ice...

It is my first popsicle recipe... It remembered my childhood days, i love the rose & paal kuchi ice.... really iam missing those days.... I just tried with rosemilk & transfer into moulds & freeze it... Finally, i it came out very well... it is quick & easy recipe.. gud treat for youself & kids... my son just loved it...!!!!!!

INGREDIENS:

Milk- 2cups
Sugar- 5-6 tsps
Rosemilk essence- 2-3tsp

METHOD:

  • Boil the milk & allowed it to cool down for 15mins..
  • Add in rosemilk essence & stir well...
  • Add sugar & mix well...until the sugar completely dissolves in it...

  • Pour the milk into popsicle moulds (you can cover it with a plastic wraps)

  • Insert the stick /popsicle stick & set aside...
  • Freeze it overnight or about 8-10hrs...
  • Take it out of a freezer & place in a bowl of water..
    (to remove the popsicle out of mould gently)
  • Enjoy the chilled kuchi ice.....

Neer morru....(traditional)

Usually Me, my sister & brothers are like to drink in childhood days, Yummy recipe forever.....it is very flavourful & delicious drink....bit spiced buttermilk...  beat the summer...

Ingredients:

Grated ginger- 1/2tsp
Green chili- 1
Curd- 1cup
Cold water- 1/4cup
Curry leaves- 1spring
Coriander leaves- 2tsp(chopped)
Salt- to taste

Method:

  • First blend the grated ginger & chili into fine paste...
  • Later add curd, salt, water & paste.....blend well...
  • Garnish with chopped curry & coriander leaves....

Kambu koozh.....

Summer has started & certain foods are best consumed in summer to cool our body....I love it with cut mango & my hubby loves it with raw onion....

Ingredients:

Broken Kambu(pearl millet)- 1 cup
Water- 3cups
Butter milk/curd- 2cups
Salt- to taste

Method:

  • Wash & rinse the kambu well..... transfer to pressure cooker & add water...cook for 4 whistles..

  • Once the pressure releases, let it be cool down for few mins...and then roll them into balls...
  • Place the kambu balls in a bowl containing water till immersing level & leave it overnight in the fridge...
  • Take a blender, add kambu balls, little water, buttermilk & required salt....grind for 1min..
  • Serve with raw onions....raw spicy mango or vadams...

    NOTE: If u've whole kambu,then grind it in a mixer to make pulse is enough...

Easy recipe of Watermelon- honeydew juice/ kids spl

It's a perfect recipe for summer...Especially for kids who have a difficult time eating fruits...it contains vit c....

Ingredients:

Water melon-1 cup
Honey dew-1cup
Honey-2tsp
Water-1/14cup
Crushed ice- optional

Method:

  • Cut the watermelon & honey dew into small pieces removing seeds & skin..
  • Place in a blender & add 2tsp of honey & puree....
  • Slowly pour the juice through a strainer into large glass to remove the pulp...
  • Add crushed ice/ ice cubes.....serve it chill.....
