Coconut Chicken (dry)

Coconut chicken is something new when compared to other  CHICKEN RECIPES.. I wanted to make new dishes & surprise my hubby.. Actually he don't like the coconut is added to non-veg curries... But he just loved the coconut chicken, because always south-Indian food tends to be lighter dried than the creamier curries... It can be served as starter... Kids will definitely love this recipe, because its less spicy...Crisp at outside & soft inside... Absolutely it is yummy chicken!!!!!


Ground coconut paste in the masala add a fragnant to the particular dish.. It is a key note of the recipe... And fried onions & curry leaves gives nice flavor to the recipe.. It is very easy & simple recipe, especially for bachelors.. Finally, it is super hit recipe of Priya's kitchen... :)

Preparation time- 5mins               Marinating time- 1 hour                   Cooking time- 15-20mins

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken- 150 gms
Coconut- 1 handful
Fennel seeds(sombu)- 1tsp
Ginger- 1/4 inch
Garlic- 3 cloves
Chili powder- 1tsp
Salt- as needed
Sliced onions- 1 (big)
Curry leaves- 10 no.

METHOD:

  • Clean & wash the chicken pieces...keep it aside...
  • Take a mixer, add coconut, fennel seeds, ginger & garlic... add some water & grind into fine paste.. set aside...
  • Take a mixing bowl, add chicken..with that add chili powder & salt... then mix the ground paste with it.... Marinate for about 1 to 1.5 hours....
  • Heat 1/4 cup 0r 7 tsp of oil in a pan, add sliced onion & curry leaves, saute for 2 mins, then add the marinated chicken into it... Cover & cook for 15 mins.. (Stir in between)
  • When the chicken is completely cooked & golden color... switch of the flame...
  • Delicious fragnant coconut chicken is ready...
  • It can be served as starter & side dish for sambar, pulao & fried rice...

Chicken Lollipop Recipe

My sister DIVYA's favorite recipe....She is chicken lover...especially chicken 65 & lollipop.... Whenever we go out for lunch/dinner, she orders chicken lollipop... My hubby also huge fan of chicken lollipop, especially ANJAPPAR's chicken lollipop.... from seeing the menu, his first order is chicken lollipop....


Crispy outside & soft inside...so colorful, tasty starter..... Surprisingly, i prepared at home & gave to my hubby, he was speechless... Now he became huge fan of PRIYA's kitchen πŸ’ƒchicken lollipop.... He just loved it...apprciated me with cute gift....😍😍😍 It is very simple to prepare at home with less ingredients... Try this & get surprise ur husbands......😊😊😊


INGREDIENTS:

Chicken lollipop- 5  pieces
Soy sauce- 2tsp
Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
Salt- to taste
Chilli powder- 2tsp
Garam masala- 1/2tsp
Corn flour- 3tsp
Egg- 1
OIL- for deep frying...

METHOD:

  • First clean the chicken pieces & keep it aside...
  • Take a bowl, mix the ingredients( soy sauce, salt, chilli powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste) with the chicken lollipop..... Spread the masala evenly.... 
  • Marinate for about 1hour.... ( if you want add chilli paste, to get spicy taste)
  • Meanwhile, take a separate bowl add corn flour, egg & beat well.....

  • Heat oil in a pan, take the chicken lollipop & dip in corn flour mixture....drop into oil... deep fry till get golden color....repeat the process for remaining pieces....

  • Drain oil & serve hot with tomato sauce.....
  • Crispy chicken lollipop are ready to eat....

Babycorn Paneer lollipop

Paneer is my all time favourite....I want to try something new with paneer, so i tried with baby corn as well as potato..... It is very crispy on outside & crunchy inside... It goes well with tea/coffee... Best evening snack for kids... Try this lollipop....


INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:

Paneer- 7-9 cubes
Boiled potato- 2
Green chili-2(optional)
Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
Corn flour- 1tsp
Chilli powder- 1tsp
Coriander powder- 1tsp
Salt- to taste  

INGREDIENTS FOR BINDING:

Maida- 1tsp
Cornflour- 1tsp
Bread crumbs- 6tsp

BABY CORN- 6-8(For lollipop)

METHOD:

  • First boil the potatoes & grate the paneer....
  • Once its steamed, mash the potatoes & paneer.....
  • Add the chilli & coriander powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, corn flour & mashed potatos & paneer.....mix well... knead into thick dough....

  • Now make the dough into small balls for lollipop....(it should be smooth dough)
  • Press the paneer ball lightly between your palms to secure firmly on the baby corn....lollipop is ready....do the rest of the balls with same procedure....


  • Prepare the flour for binding...mix maida & corn flour in little amount of water & mix well...
  • Now dip the lollipop in flour & roll into bread crumbs....


  • Heat sufficient oil in a pan & drop the lollipops into it.....deep fry it for 3mins...turn over to cook on both sides....

  • Crispy paneer lollipops are ready..... it goes well with TOMATO SAUCE/ green chutney.....

Chicken Tikka(oven)

Chicken Tikka is a popular starter..... it is easy & tasty recipe...

Ingredients:

Boneless chicken- 200gms
Onion- 1
Capsicum(red/green/yellow)-1
Garam masala- 1/4tsp
Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
Coriander powder- 1/2tsp
Lime juice- 2tsp
Chili powder- 1tsp
Curd- 2tsp
Salt - to taste

Method:

  • Cut the chicken pieces into cubes, wash & clean it...
  • Take a mixing bowl, add garam masala, chili& coriander powder, lime juice, curd, ginger-garlic paste & salt....add chicken pieces, onion & capsicum....
  • Marinate for about 2hrs....
  • Put the chicken , onion & capsicum on to skewers...(soak skewer for about 30mins)
  • Preheat oven 200deg C....
  • Place the skewer on a tray & cook for about 20mins....turn to all the sides...
  • Yummy tikka is ready.... serve with green chutney....

Tandoori chicken....(oven)

It is popular Indian dish.... It is easy to make this at home using regular smart oven.... it looks & tastes like restaurant... 

Ingredients:

Chicken legs- 2
Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
Garam masala-1/4tsp
Chili powder- 1/2tsp
Coriander powder-1/2tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4tsp
Cumin powder- 1/2tsp
Yogurt- 2tsp
Lime juice- 2tsp
Pepper-1/2tsp
Salt- to taste
Red food color- pinch
Olive oil- for brushing(optional)
Chat masala- 1/2tsp(optional)

Method:

  • Clean & cut slits on each leg pieces....so that masala goes inside & give gud taste...
  • Take a bowl, combine all the above mentioned ingredients & mix well...
  • Apply it all over the chicken & make sure to apply between the slits & inside....keep marination for about 8.5hrs....
  • Preheat oven to 230 deg Celeius/  425F... Place the marinated chicken on tray & cook for about 2omins...till the chicken is tender....turn to cook on other sides...


  • Once the chicken is well cooked with dark brown color, remove from the oven & brush with olive oil...
  • Garnished with sliced onions, serve hot with GREEN DIP.... yummmmmmmmy!!!!!!!!!

Green Gobi 65/ cauliflower Malligai..

I got this recipe from KITCHEN SUPER STAR programme.... its quite different from regular pakodas or gobi 65....its a colourful starter...



Ingredients for green chutney:

Other ingredients:

Corn flour- 3tsp
Maida- 1tsp
Rice flour- 2tsp
Cauliflower- 1cup
Salt- to taste
Oil- to fry

Method:

  • Mix the green chutney to a cauliflower florets & along with corn flour, rice flour, maida & salt into it...
  • Marinate for about 20mins..
  • Heat oil & fry the florets till brown color...
  • Drain oil & serve hot as a starter.....
