Mushrooms are very low in calories, especially BUTTON MUSHROOMS helps to boost our immune system....But i've used oyester mushrooms for this gravy... It goes well with roti, chapathi & ghee rice....
Ingredients:
Mushrooms- 200 gms
Onion- 1
Tomato puree-1/4cup
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
Chilli powder- 1tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Coriander powder- 1tsp
Garam masala-1/4tsp
Coconut paste- 1/4cup
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan & add chopped onion & curry leaves...Saute till golden brown..
- Add in 1tsp of Ginger-garlic paste...
- Add tomato puree & saute for 2mins...
- Next add chilli, turmeric, coriander & garam masala into it....mix well...
- Sprinkle some salt & add required amount of water....
- Add chopped mushrooms & mix well....cover & cook till the mushrooms are soft...
- Finally add coconut paste, cook in low flame for about 6 to 8 mins...
- Turn off the flame when gravy reaches the right consistency...
- Garnish with coriander leaves..... This is awesome side dish for chapahi/Ghee rice....
