Homemade Paneer

Paneer is a homemade Indian cheese cottage... It can be used for making desserts, appetizers & main course dishes.... It is made by curdling heated milk with lime juice/ vineger...

INGREDIENTS:

Milk- 1litre
Lemon juice- 5-8 tsp

METHOD:

  • Boil the milk in a pan..
  • When the milk comes to boil, add the lemon juice & stir the milk gently...
  • You can see the curd will start separating from the whey.... now turn off the flame...
  • Once the whey separated, drain the whey by using clean cloth...


  • Using strainer, rinse under the running water...repeat the process till the soreness goes off..
  • Squeeze well to drain the remaining water...
  • Open the cloth & refridgerate it..    
  • NOTE: Knead the paneer like chapathi dough... you won't use it immedietely, freeze it for later use...u may cut into small cubes & refrigerate it..
