Sweet biscuits is a sweet snack prepared with maida & sugar.... Usually my mom makes this recipe for DIWALI...I love this biscuits right from my childhood...me & my sister used to help my mom by finish eating the biscuits & empty the container...haha😁😁
Ingredients:
Maida/ All purpose flour- 1.5cups
Sugar- 3/4cup
Warm water- 1/4cup
Ghee/Vanaspathi- 2tsp
Baking soda- pinch
Salt- pinch
Method:
- First mix the sugar in warm water until it dissolves completely..keep it aside..
- Take a bowl, add maida, ghee/Vanaspathi, pinch of baking soda & salt into it...mix well..
- Add slowly sugar water & knead to form a dough...(dough should be tight not loose)
- Then divide into small balls....
- Take a ball & roll out into chapathi( should be thick)...
- Cut into diamond/square shaped pieces....(first vertically, then horizontally...with the use of knife or cutter)
Spread the diamond pieces into plate/newspaper. .
- Heat oil in a pan & fry them in low flame until golden brown...
- Allowed it cool down & store in air-tight container....
- Yummmy biscuits are ready to eat...
