Usually poli is prepared with the all purpose flour/ MAIDA.... But white flour/Maida are toxic to pancreas which secrets INSULIN... It is enemy to our heart, the color of maida may look fair & fine when compared to WHEAT flour, but the process involved in its preparation shows how dangerous for heart & pancreas...

INGREDIENTS FOR POORNAM:

INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:
Wheat flour- 1cup
Oil- 6tsp
Salt- pinch
METHOD:
- Take wheat flour in a bowl, add oil & pinch of salt into it....mix well..
- Add little amount of water & start to knead the dough....
- Dough should be soft & loose in consistency....
STEPS TO MAKE PURAN POLI:
- Take a small ball from the dough & roll into small circle...
- Repeat the same process & roll out the remaining dough balls....
- Just spread the PURAN evenly on the chapathi....take another small chapathi & lay over on it....again roll in to make perfect shape....
- Heat a pan/ dosa kal, roast the puran poli with 1tsp of ghee..turn over to cook on both sides.
- Once all the poli has done....drizzle some ghee/butter on it....
- Yummmy HEALTHY puran poli is ready.....
