Maravalli Kilangu Vadai/Topioca Vadai..

It is unusual & rare recipe....but most similar to parupu vadai.... I just tried differently, but it came out very well...my hubby just loved it...Perfect evening snack with cup of TEA...

Ingredients:

Channa dal/Kadalai parupu- 1cup
Topioca-1 small piece
Onion- 1(big)
Green chillies-3
Coriander & mintleaves- 1 handfull
Salt- to taste
Ginger- 1inch
Garlic- 2cloves
Curry leaves- 1spring
Fennel seeds- 1tsp

Method:

  •  Soak channa dal for 2hours...
  • Grate the topioca & keep it aside...
  • First grind the fennel seeds, garlic, ginger, chillies,SALT & mint leaves coarsely...
  • Drain channa dal completely & blend it coarsely(not too smooth nor coarse)...keep it aside..
  • Next grind the grated topioca into paste(without water)
  • Now mix the chopped onions, coriander & curry leaves with the ground paste...

  • Wet your hands & make a small balls...shape the ball to flat patties of medium thickness...

  • Heat oil in a pan & deep fry until gets golden brown color....

  • Crispy, tasty vadai are ready...!!!!!
